The Bambu Lab AMS HT combines automatic filament feeding with high-temperature drying, helping to keep filaments in better condition before and between prints. The drying temperature reaches up to 85°C, so that it can support materials that require a higher drying temperature.
Key features
- Drying up to 85°C: for compatible filaments that require high-temperature drying.
- Watertight storage: The lid and the controlled ventilation help protect the filament from moisture.
- Automatic reel rotation: for more uniform drying.
- Status screen: Indication of temperature, humidity, and remaining drying time.
- RFID: Automatic recognition of compatible Bambu Lab filaments and synchronization of settings, where supported.
- Bypass outlet: a separate path for compatible flexible or reinforced filaments that should not pass through the automatic feed system.
Compatibility and important notes
The AMS HT works with Bambu Lab printers that support this specific unit. Connecting it to X/P series printers may require a filament buffer or an AMS Hub, depending on the configuration. The drying function requires a connection to a compatible printer and a power supply; the unit does not function as an independent, standalone dryer. Drying cannot be performed simultaneously with printing when using the same AMS unit for the active print job.
The capability for multi-color/multi-material printing depends on the combination of AMS units and the printer's compatibility; the AMS HT on its own does not constitute a 24-color system.
