The tower of Piraeus in an aerodynamic tunnel

In collaboration with the NTUA School of Mechanical Engineering, our company designed and printed the Piraeus Tower on a scale. The model is internally penetrated by more than 350 ducts which end at the lower side in order to measure the aerodynamics of the building. An aerodynamic study was then performed.

A very demanding project which does not look external but the times and the numbers speak for themselves:

    • 2 weeks of design (total 354 piping.
    • Over 4500 design commands
    • 18 days of continuous printing
    • 5 kilos of filament
    • 354 fittings
