Polylite ABS provides excellent print quality with minimal odor during printing. Combining impact resistance with heat resistance (~100˚C), PolyLite™ ABS is a good choice for mechanical parts, robotics, functional prototypes or home appliance replacements.
Which 3D printer can print PolyLite™ ABS?
Depending on the size of the models you are trying to print, PolyLite™ ABS may require a closed chamber or even an actively heated chamber.
In general, an open 3D printer with a bed temperature of 90˚C and a print temperature of 260˚C can handle models smaller than the size of a fist. For larger prints you will need an enclosed 3D printer (~40-50˚C), for models larger than ~15-20cm in any direction, an actively heated chamber (~70˚C+) will be required.
Using the proper bed adhesion can also help print larger parts without warping issues.
Can PolyLite™ ABS be post-treated with acetone?
Yes, PolyLite™ ABS can be smoothed with acetone.
WARNING: Acetone is a dangerous chemical, handle it with the necessary safety precautions.
