Formlabs Digital Dentures

Formlabs announces the complete digital dentures solution in the European market, empowering the community to continue pushing the boundaries of prosthetic dentistry.

Long lasting, affordable dentures in many shades

Formlabs Denture resins are biocompatible materials with CE certification and are used to make dentures with 3D SLA printing. With four translucent pink base shades and six fully distinctive tooth shades, technicians can achieve believable gums with natural fringes and realistic aesthetics that suit the patient. Use these resins to produce durable, long-lasting dentures at a fraction of the cost compared to traditional methods.

    Benefits of Digital Dentures

“Digital Dentures with 3D printing opens the door to new treatment possibilities. This workflow has several advantages over the conventional workflow and is a great alternative to milling that is far more expensive.”
    —Stephan Kreimer, MDT

The transition from a traditional workflow to a digital workflow for denture production provides some key benefits:

Low cost production: Affordable equipment allows laboratories to expand production. The material costs about € 8 per part for a complete denture compared to € 40-50 using traditional methods.

Accurate, consistent, high quality results: A direct 3D printed additive means fewer steps and less variability - a more consistent workflow for one quality end product at a time.

Intuitive, customizable tools: The digital workflow is part of your traditional processes today and it will be much easier to teach tomorrow's dental technicians with digital knowledge.

Simplified, fast remakes: Digital denture designs can be reused, shared, modified and easily reproduced with 3D printing.

Really custom teeth: Unlike traditional methods, digital dentures are completely patient-specific.

“The ability to additively manufacture dentures in my practice is really exciting and it allows me to digitize even more procedures using my Formlabs ecosystem.”
—Dr. Michael Braian, DDS, CDT, PhD, from Malmö, Sweden.
